Frequently asked questions
What counts as a 'manual'?
A manual is one finished document — a video you've processed, edited, and published. Drafts and deleted manuals don't count toward your limit. On paid plans you can archive manuals to free up slots.
Who are 'viewers' and do they need an account?
Viewers are anyone who reads your published manuals. They never need a StepFlow account. You can share a link publicly or set a password — either way, viewer access is unlimited on every plan.
How does the annual discount work?
Choose annual billing at checkout and you're charged for 10 months instead of 12 — roughly a 20% savings. You can switch between monthly and annual any time; we'll prorate the difference.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes. Cancel from your account settings and your subscription stays active until the end of the current billing period. No cancellation fees, no hard feelings.
What languages does StepFlow support?
StepFlow can generate manuals in 40+ languages. On Starter and above you can publish the same manual in multiple languages simultaneously — one video, many audiences.
Is there a free trial for paid plans?
The Free plan lets you create 3 full manuals — no credit card required. If you want to try a paid feature, contact us and we'll set up a 14-day trial on any tier.
Do you offer discounts for nonprofits or education?
Yes — 50% off any paid plan for verified nonprofits, schools, and universities. Email support@stepflow.app with your org details.
